So let’s get into topics. What I am reporting here is a little of what I’ve been through. Many things are only discovered by experimenting and testing.
How to care for the fingernails in cycle routes
For me minimal care. There are more beautiful things in a woman who rides a bicycle than her painted nails. Call me relaxed, I do not care, I share the nail clipper with my husband who is already good size in terms of nail care!

The fewer clothes you take the better bicycle touring tips. Your legs will thank you for that infinite bump! Early in the trip, I sent out a few pounds of clothes I was not wearing. In cold climates, the amounts of clothing you need is larger and larger, but avoid those parts that you would rarely use and whose lack does not threaten your survival. The pieces of clothing I would recommend are these:
- 2 thin long sleeve t-shirts: one to pedal (synthetic fast drying) and another to sleep (better if it is cotton because it is more comfortable for sleep);

- 1 or 2 Tops: in the cold weather only one was enough for me, but one more would not have been bad at all;
- 1 cycling shorts with a thin cushion (Triathlon type, faster drying)
- 4 or 5 * elastic cotton panties at the edges that surround crotch and cushions (cotton is more suitable for the intimate area, although it retains more moisture, it does not cause as much discomfort as the synthetic ones, all the synthetic ones that I took, discarded and changed for cotton)
* The amount is high because in cold climates you will not have the will and possibility to wash clothes every day, and they will not dry as fast;
- 3 to 5 socks: leaving a common sock always clean to sleep, one or two common to pedal, wool (such as the llama and alpaca found in artisan markets in the Andes), a technique (these with special fibers not to retain moisture and heat in specific ar
- Second Skin of Polarity: 1 shirt and 1 pant second layer to isolate the temperature;
- Wool or Polarity gloves and finger gloves for pedaling;
- 1 Polar / Fleece Jacket: With the zipper at the neck or waist to facilitate wearing with a helmet;
- 1 jacket and pants Windbreaker and/or waterproof;
- 1 Underpants trouser (I like a lot of these that have a zipper on the knee and saw shorts. I adapted to the best bicycle touring tips pedaling with one of these too)
For hot climates:
- 2 regattas;
- 2 Tops
- 1 long sleeve t-shirt (for sun protection);
- 1 fast-drying shorts
- 1 light trouser (shorts, to avoid mosquitoes and sunburn)

* Short and bikini are especially useful in hot regions, most of the showers that we have found in the Amazon region are outside people’s homes and do not offer much protection from the passers sight, so I felt better taking a bikini bath and even with a short. The same for when the bath was stream or river, usually on the side of the road, where you are seen by all passing vehicles.
